What we do

All American Garage Door repairs them across the Kansas City metro, gives a written price before starting, and fixes most problems on the first visit.

Signs you need this
- A loud bang, then the door won't lift (broken spring)
- Door hangs crooked or one side drops (snapped or slipped cable)
- Door is jammed or a roller has popped out of the track
- Grinding, squeaking or rattling when the door moves
- A bent track or dented section after a car bump
What these problems look like
Real doors we've been called out to around Kansas City. If yours looks like one of these, leave it closed and call us.
Door hanging crooked: broken cable
When a lift cable snaps or slips off its drum, one side of the door drops and the other stays up, so the door hangs at an angle in the opening. Don't run the opener or force it. We replace both cables, reset the drums and put the door back in its track.

Damaged panels
A car bump, or an opener that keeps pushing against a stuck door, can buckle a section or push the bottom of the door out of the track. A damaged section weakens the whole door and can pull it off the track. We replace the damaged sections when the door model is still available, or quote a new door when it isn't.

Residential repair FAQ
How do I know if my garage door spring is broken?
You'll usually hear a loud bang from the garage. Afterward the door won't lift, opens only a few inches, or the opener strains and stops. On a torsion system you'll often see a gap in the spring on the bar above the door.
Stop using the opener and call us. Running it with a broken spring can damage the opener.
Can a frayed garage door cable be repaired?
No. A frayed or snapped lift cable has to be replaced, not spliced. Cables carry the full weight of the door under spring tension, so leave a frayed cable alone and call us.
Should I repair or replace my garage door?
Repair it if the problem is a spring, cable, roller or opener and the panels are in good shape. Consider replacing it if several panels are dented or rusted, the door is uninsulated under a living space, or repairs keep adding up. We'll tell you honestly which makes more sense.
How much does garage door repair cost?
It depends on what failed. A spring replacement, a cable job and an opener repair are each priced differently, and the size and weight of your door matter. We give you a written price before any work starts, with no upsell, and for emergencies we give you a price range on the phone.
Do you offer emergency service?
Yes, 24/7. Call (816) 301-5209 any time, including nights, weekends and holidays. Regular office hours are Monday to Friday 7 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 3 PM.
