The short answer

What we do

All American Garage Door installs commercial sectional and roll-up doors for businesses across the Kansas City metro, including insulated steel doors for service bays, full-view aluminum doors for storefronts and restaurants, and compact roll-up doors for openings with little headroom. Quotes are free and in writing.

  • Insulated steel sectional doors
  • Full-view aluminum doors for storefronts and patios
  • Roll-up (coiling) doors for low headroom
  • Dock doors
  • Commercial operators and safety devices
  • Removal and haul-away of old doors

Signs you need this

  • Doors damaged beyond repair by forklifts or trucks
  • Drafts and high heating costs at service bays
  • Doors too slow or too small for how you work now
  • A new building, addition or tenant build-out
  • Old doors with parts that are hard to find
Lift options for new doors

High-lift and roof-pitch tracks

A standard track bends back at door height, so the open door hangs low across the garage. If you have more ceiling height, a different track can put that space to use.

High-lift

A high-lift track runs straight up the wall before it curves back, so the open door sits close to the ceiling instead of hanging low over your cars. It frees up room for a car lift, overhead storage or a taller vehicle.

In these photos from a Kansas City home we moved the spring up the wall and installed a LiftMaster 98022 jackshaft opener. It mounts on the wall beside the door and turns the torsion bar directly, so there's no opener rail across the ceiling either.

Roof pitch

In a shop, pole barn or garage with a sloped ceiling, a roof-pitch track angles up to follow the roofline. The open door tucks up under the roof instead of sitting flat, which keeps the middle of the building clear and gives more headroom over the opening.

We measure the opening, headroom, side room and roof slope, then tell you which track fits. Ask about high-lift or roof pitch when you get your estimate.
